Some kind of new Hybrid tube/ss poweramp section Randall has come up with. They are going to offer it ina couple heads and also put the technology in the G3 series amps (replacing the g2s, with a modest 5-10% price increase).
Sounded like Valvestate at first to me, but from what the guy at Randall says the tubes are not just for the pre-amp section like on a VS..somehow they are used for the power amp section as well
Should be interesting to hear. Could it be the answer to cranked tube amp tone/dynamics at lower volumes ? (that is not digital/modelling). I'm skeptical of course, but I'm interested to hear/try it.
Personally, I think they should just bring back those RG's from the 1980s...best amps they ever made.
