new resistor for tele hot rails?

Re: new resistor for tele hot rails?

Hi njac; Welcome to the forum. By "resistors", do you mean volume and tone pots? If so, you shouldn't need to. However, if you have 250k's now, and you'ld like it to be brighter, you could try 500k's. Conversly, if you have 500k's, and you think its too bright, try 250k's.

Hope this helps. :)

FWIW-if you should mean capacitors, I'd stick with the 0.022 mF, which is usually the value found in most teles. That's what my friend has in his strat w/Hotrails in the neck and bridge position, and it's the guitar I play when we jam.

thanks, but how will that affect the drive on my pickup?

250K pots will pull down the output a bit, but the HotRails has bags of it to spare so you won't notice much practical difference.
