New rig test.

I built a whole new rig last week. Been trying to take a step back from the hard rock and metal, and try to work my way into a little Jazz, Swing, and Rockabilly. I know the riff isn't either of those styles, but it's where the tone that I've found has taken me. Being sober for a month probably helps a little too. I'm able to think out my writing a lot better. I'm working on making this a whole song, but I'm not done yet. It'll get there.

I know it sounds similar to something I've heard before, but I just can't put my finger on what it is.

Guitar: Ibanez Artcore hollow body.

Pedals: TC Electronics Flachback Mini, with a Toneprint that I designed, the modulation comes from the delay. MXR 5 band, with a little bit of a mid hump.

Amp: Mesa Boogie TA-15, in the Tweed setting.

Camera: Sony Handycam.

Don't laugh too hard. It's a long way from what I usually play.

Re: New rig test.

cool! congrats on being sober (if you had alcoholic probs)

definitely not any of those styles Jazz, Swing, and Rockabilly as you mentioned

more of a melancholy alternative rock intro sound to me, like just about to step on the distortion pedal/channel ;)
