new song "breathin in, breathin out"

Re: new song "breathin in, breathin out"

Nice tune . . . the singings pretty damned good. Are you a Wilco fan by any chance? My only constructive criticism would be that it felt a little too long at the end . . . other than that sounds cool.

great song. normally i'd think a 6 minute song of that style would be too long to hold my interest but not here. honestly, i could have listened to another 6 minutes of it. the doubled vocals i like a lot, lyrics were good too. also, is that an acoustic bass you have in there? whatever it was i liked the sound. how about some recording details? again, nice work, keep it up!

i'm listening to another track from the site and that one sounds really good too.

thanks for listening guys!

guitarstv - i am a wilco fan, but dont listen to them much. I can see how this has a little bit of their vibe to it, ie - acoustic and very dry upfront vocal sound. I also have been back and forth about the end of the song, since I can see how it is a bit long. the problem is that i really get into the energy of the song at the end when i play it live, and its difficult to capture that in a recording.

thesego211 - thanks for the feedback. the bass guitar is actually electric, i just played it direct into my mic pre - definately focused on getting the "click" of the strings in there though, the EQ is directed towards the midrange and less towards a big fat low end for the bass on this song.

other than that, the drums are programmed. the main vocal is doubled, and theres 2 seperate harmony vocals throughout. my acoustic guitar is an old martin sigma from the late 70s. also i recorded a reed organ synth in there.

thanks for listening, i appreciate it!
