Something new I uploaded to Soundclick. It's not great, and it's my first attempt at something in this genre. It's kind of got a "smooth jazz" flavor to it.

Click on the song called In Between Egos and Insecurities

Any comments? I'd like to know what everyone thinks (good and bad!)

Checked it out & then clicked on "Fine Line." What type of singer/vocals are you looking for? Do you have vocal melodies in mind, or are just lyrics written?

Just curious... I liked the sounds and may be able to help out.

Thanks, man. I do have a melody in mind to go with the lyrics. It's got a Richard Ashcroft's vocal style approach to it. The verses and the choruses are all done.

I could possibly upload a sample. But I should update the pages. I'm gonna sing the songs once I buy myself a mic to record with maybe in the next month, or so.

What sort of singing style do you hear?

Vocals along those lines (Richard Ashcroft) would sound pretty cool with "Fine Line." For "Death of a Virus" I was hearing more of a folk rock singer/songwriter style, whatever that means! :13:

Those songs would sound good with a number of different voices, and I'm definitely curious what you had in mind for vocal melodies. I could see where the lyrics fit with "Fine Line," but the way I was hearing "Death of a Virus" must be at a different vocal pace, because the lyrics weren't filling up the instrumental accompaniment for the verses. The chorus' pacing seemed more apparent to me though.
