A little while back I posted about putting Weber speakers in my Bassman LTD. Those speakers impressed me so much that I ordered another pair for my Custom Vibrolux Reverb and they showed up today! Got them installed and they sound faaaaaan-tastic! The ceramic is a Weber 10F150 and the alnico is a 10A125. Got them both lightly doped and with silver baskets. The 10F150 IS slightly louder than the 10A125. I hadn't noticed in my Bassman because I've got the F150's on the bottom. Side-by-side however, I do notice it when sitting close to the amp. It's fine though because the tone is superb! The amp just sound... strong. It's just got a massive presence now. Turning up to higher volume is where I really hear the difference though. Harshness is completely gone. Just loud and in your face punch! Overdriven tone is excellent. I also noticed a bump in the mids - enough that I did notice it.

That's the big brother set to what I use in my Plough Front Super (I use a 10A100T and a 10F125).

I've been playing them for a few days. The amp is LOUD now. I guess it was loud before, but the strength of the mids is much more apparent so I think it just seems louder. The natural overdriven tone is friggin awesome now!
