new speakers for 5150 combo

I should be getting a 5150 combo pretty soon :headbang: :banana:

anyway, I have heard that the speakers that come with it , sheffields or something are bad. :blindfold

can anyone recommend me some speakers that might sound good in this amp?

I've read good things about Vintage 30's... You might wanna give that a try...

You might want to check it out for a while first...see if you don't like the stock speakers in there.

If you don't, Vintage 30's are a perfect match for that amp IMO. Maybe worth trying out the eminence Governor too.

Vintage 30's. But **** that made in China stuff. Go for some nice NOS Made in England ones.

V30's, but that English made vs. Chinese made bull**** is ridiculous - Celestion sent their old machines over to China and bought new ones for themselves. If anything, the ones now made in China are closer to the 'English made' v30's everyone raves about.

And if you want the best for cheapest.....Dave at Avatar Speakers is a dealer for Hellatones, which are Celestions relabeled and broken in under a different name. You'll pay less than Celestion, and get a Celestion with a Hellatone label on it. I think the Hellatone 60 is the Vin 30 and the Hellatone 30 is the H30.
Go that route!
