I picked up this USACG neck on teh 'Verb for 125 shipped. I don't mind that its had the headstock sanded. I think the guy tried to make it into a passable Tele shaped headstock.
Is it going to be doable to bring the rounded bottom back to a pointy Strat shape? How?
Does this look 'quartersawn' to you? I like the SS frets, and hoping this works out..it's got 6150's which mainly I've been into 6100's, but would like to give the 6150's a go.Wish it had the trussrod adjust at neck, but oh well. I actually wanted a warmoth Roasted maple neck, but at over 500 bucks spec'ed out to my preference, that'll have to wait..like for the next ice age.

A shot of the heel end-on will tell you grain orientation....but I think I'm seeing the telltale 'circle grain' of flatsawn on the low E side.

That should be a killer neck especially for the price. I've only had great experiences with USACG.

Looks quartersawn to me but a shot of the heel (truss rod part, not the part with the screw holes) would tell ya.
