Hmm. Appears that the XXL was a bad idea after all. Hope this works out better for you.

Tell us about the valve king...

The idea was the have great tone at low volumes, the XXL did it pretty good, this one just does it better.
Combined with the Wylde overdrive this is one SIC amp!

Nice. I may have to check that one out. I love the Wylde Overdrive. It's kicks my Marshall in to sick overdrive territory. :D

I've really been wanting to try out one of these new ValveKings. Maybe H&H has some in stock. I'll annoy all the little twats there and play it loudly, then buy it from musician's friend. mwahaha!

Yeah, I went to the store today knowing I wanted an OD. I tried 'em all and honestly liked the sound of that one, even more than higher priced pedals I played.
Definetly a good purchase!

is that Marshall pedal to switch the channels on the Valve King? If so, would any channel-switch pedal work on that thing? 'Cuz I really want one but I don't want to have to walk to the amp and push a button to turn on the gain.

If that amp uses a 2-button footswitch, any 2-button footswitch will work. Marshall's footswitches are more sturdy than Peavey's IMO.

Yeah, Marshall's are more sturdy (and more expensive) than Peavey's but any 2 button STEREO cable switch should work for it.

I have since made new labels for the switch, since it does different funtions that Marshall had made it for.

I've got a couple gigs lined up with my re-united band now, so I'm really looking forward to crankin' that bad boy through my Mesa cab in a performance environment!

If you're considering gettin' one, go for it, I don't think you'll be disapointed.
