New to Boutique Pedal builds

Hey guys, been gassing hard for both a Bluesbreaker pedal and a Klon. I love how they sound stacked. Anyway, I've been quoted from a reputable boutique builder to build both of them in 1 enclosure for $285 shipped to Canada.
It'll be the most I've ever and probably will ever spend on a pedal, is that price normal or should I look elsewhere?

I know I can get a bluesbreaker clone for around $100 CDN but not sure if I can get a Klone cheaper. Any suggestions would be great

i just spent more than that on a fuzz face clone. If it is the best tool for the job...do it!

I noticed you have a Stamp Drive'O'Matic. I used one of those for the duration of a band, when they first came out and I knew the builder. After trying a lot more OD's, my ears got tired of it pretty quickly.

Personally, I'm hesitant to buy dual OD's, just because I may tire of it's higher gain mode faster than the lower gain mode. For that reason, I've become more into getting individual pedals, just so it's easier to swap one away, while keeping the other.

There's so many good ones out there new and used that I'd have a hard time paying a premium for a pedal that may or may not be my dream pedal.

While I agree with your point, it's hardly valid. What the OP is talking about is two completely different pedals in a single enclosure. What I'd recommend to the OP is to ask the builder to give you separate in/out jacks so you can route the pedals any way you choose.

As a boutique pedal nut (I've bought and sold 40+ this year, to give you an idea) yeah, that's not a bad deal. However, personally, I'm not too up on the idea of ripping off Bill Finnegan, considering that the KTR is now in production and in the hands of consumers.

And yeah, if you're into boutique pedals, get used to the idea of spending that much. That's a good deal - my Analogman sunface cost that much, and my Landgraff Mo'D was more than $100 more... for a single pedal.
