I have been intrigued by this model for a while, but haven't took a plunge. I have tried almost all their humbuckers and they have all sounded great. I would imagine this would too.

Have you really tried almost all of their humbuckers? That is interesting, because I'm thinking about getting one or two.
I have an el-cheapo strat, which is going through some changes. it is a marshall rocket special, to be precise. It has a HSS configuration, the single coils are not great, but the humbucker sounds really good and its output is quite hot. I need more power on the neck, so I want to put a Generator there, but I've also heard that the Alnico IV classics sound pretty good. I'm gonna keep the singles in there as well for strumming and low output low gain situations. I'm trying to get a Steve Morse kind of sound, I like switching between neck and bridge pickups while soloing, and if I do that right now I lose a lot of power because of the single coil. Which one yould you recommend?
I like Toneriders. I've got a set of Pure Vintage single coils and they do their thing beautifully.
I had a Generator a long time ago but I sold it since I already had a JB around and I liked it better.
I've been eying that one too. I assumed it would be a Custom 8 clone, but it's quite a bit underwound compared to a Custom. Anyone know how close the specs are to the Crazy 8
I've tried the Classic 2/4, and they were pretty good. Certainly for the outlay, so even if they're not to taste, it's not like you've broken the bank to find out
