Re: New Toy = Obligatory Pics

Nice! I do my taxes tomorrow... so I'll be getting my tax returns two weeks from now. That means I'll be joining you in Mesa land within three weeks to a month. Depending how much I get in returns will determine whether I grab a three channel or two channel version. I hope uncle Sam is kind to me tomorrow!

EDIT: Quick hijack... was looking at the pics and was wondering what the TC electronics g major is?

Re: New Toy = Obligatory Pics

Congrats. Looks a little tippy with the head atop the rack though.

Re: New Toy = Obligatory Pics

Thanks guys... basically it goes from my Axe into that jack on the left, on the blank panel. That's routed through my OD808 and NS-2, and back out to the jack on the right, into the Single Rectifier. In the FX loop is my G-Major, controller by the FCB1010. I have it wired up so that I can switch channels and switch the OD on/off via the G-Major (which is an effects unit - I use it for delay, chorus, reverb, pitch shifting, noise gate, compressor, and filter). Then, the head goes into the Rivera K412T, which has V30's on top and V12's on the bottom... I plan to replace the V12's with V30's or G12T-75's, though.

The head is actually pretty solid ontop of the rack, all the feet stay on it, which none of my other heads did.

Re: New Toy = Obligatory Pics

Jeff....You'll love the G12T-75's for your style of music.

Hey, wait a minute....are the V12's you have 16 ohm? Maybe we could work out a trade. I've got 6 G12T-75's...2 old ones in my Combo, and 4 in my current 4x12. The V12's are fairly close to the V30's.

If your's are 16 ohm, let me know. I'd really like G12H's, but V12's would do, if they are in good shape.

Re: New Toy = Obligatory Pics

Basically... buy low, sell high, save, save, save. I bought my 5150 for 600, sold it for 800, and bought this for 900 ;). Doesn't take much but patience.

Hehe... yeah, they are 16 ohm! They've been through band practices on a bi-weekly basis for the past year or so, but are still solid and clean! The V12's are smoother and differently voiced in the mids than the V30's, to me. Let me know if you'd like to work something out!

(thanks mom and dad)

No, and I'm actually quite offended by this. I worked hard and saved for a long time to be able to get the gear I have now, and not one piece of it was payed for by my parents.

Dude...uncool and uncalled for. Jeff is one of the most respectful, hardworking teenagers I've had the pleasure of meeting. All teenagers should be like Jeff, we'd have less problems in this world.

Apparently, some adults have something to learn as well. :blackeye:
