That Blackstar is a 1 Watt amp ALL Tube Amp with an integrated (Combo) 8" speaker -it's truely a bedroom amp and it's plug and play -easy -it has an emulated output and reverb which the Micro Terror does not.
The Orange Microterror is 20 watts with Tube for the Pres and Solid state Power and needs a speaker cabinet. -But the Orange is an amp you can do so much more than just bedrooms -It can be very LOUD and used with a band and because you pick the cab you can select a 10" or 12" or multiple speaker which would blow away the Blackstar -no reverb BTW.
They are pretty different amps when you consider them closely -they don't really compare well -it's not really fare to call the Blackstar inferior because it's not at all the same kind of thing.

Remember that the orange amp is a hybrid and not a true tube amp. Wouldn't that make it less loud then the Blackstar amp?

Tubes are way less efficient that Solid State amps (that's not a bad thing BTW) --I have a Micro Terror -it can be played with 5 piece band no problem -it's going to be tremendously louder.

I'm going to play music by Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, The 1975, Green Day, Barenaked Ladies, Blink-182, Stevie Ray, and Queen.
I haven't thought of the loop effects.

I have the Marshall DSL1HR and the Randall RD1H heads. Both are great for low-volume practice. The Marshall has an OK clean channel. It's a bit thin, but it's useable. It has killer Marshall Crunch and can pull off high-gain as well. The Randall has a killer high-gain tone, but not much else. I recommend both, but even for me who am a high-gain guy, the Marshall does a whole lot more for only 50 bucks more.

If possible, get a Micro Dark. It can do all of the above plus heavier stuff like Black Sabbath. It loves single coils and P90s. Plus it has an effects loop.
Additionally (with any amp head) you’ll need a guitar cabinet and speaker cable. You can get a used PPC108 for around $50, until you decide to move up to something bigger. Or you can play through headphones if you want.

If you have a larger amp that you love the tone of but have a hard time controlling the volume for practice at home, I'd like to offer an alternative.
Get a Reactive Load Box. Then you can not only dial down the volume of the current amp you have, but you can also get one that has IRs that you listen to with headphones.

Goes 5 watt, 1 watt, and 0.1 watt
the lowest setting, 0.1 watt you can have a loud speaking voice conversation over the cranked amp
It has a morph knob like the Blackstar for more bright Fender like tones or more mid heavy Marshall
Has a great reverb
Needs a speaker
It really likes the tuned semi open back on my Jet City 1x12
There's a guy on Reverb that will make you an empty 1x12 cab for $89 and shipping
Put whatever speaker you want in it

Those mini orange cabs are not very good. Better to get something better.
Thing with micro/dark terror is they're solid state with premp tube. You get same tone regardless of volume so it's far more versatile than small real tube amp.
