new US made BC RICHs?

Re: new US made BC RICHs?

Looks like a Dean Vendetta w/ Floyd, except 2 less frets, a reverse headstock, and $2, 250 more expensive!

GAH - is it REALLY all that?

Does look cool though!

And people rag on Gibson about their prices.

Pretty much what Im asking/saying. I honestly think my Charvel Pro mod is a Fantastic guitar. And the BC Rich import gunslingers are pretty darn nice for the price.. I really wonder how much better a US Charvel at $2500 or one of these is?
This sure is tuff looking, but Im wondering how good it is, really?
Im guessing its a great guitar, but a big mark up cuz of being Grover Jackson made/designed.

Re: new US made BC RICHs?

That price is probably about right. If you called The Music Zoo they'd probably cut you a break on the price

In 2006 I ordered my USA Wave Supreme and it cost me $2600.

Yeah, for that price you are into a whole world of really incredible small-builder boutique stuff.

About the only reason to spend that money on a B.C. Rich of any stripe, unless it was actually made BY Bernie Rico or Grover Jackson, would be because you are completely unaware of Suhr, Anderson, Melancon, Vigier, Tyler, etc. etc.

Most USA Jackson's cost close to that. Les Paul Customs are at least 150% of that.

My BC Riches are thick slabs of mahogany with 1/2-3/4 figured maple caps and all hand built. What makes them any less worth their asking price?

That said, this is clearly a bolt on revamped Gunslinger that is capitalizing on Grover's name, but you did state a Rich of any stripe.

I did and it was stated in error, because I wasn't even thinking about the real B.C. Rich stock and trade - crazy customized high-end neck-throughs.

My brain was in bolt-on super-strat land, so consider my earlier generalization recanted.

Oh, very well then. Moving along.

I only asked because Rich seems to get a bad rap sometimes. I have made it my mission in life to correct that misunderstanding.
