New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

I'll be looking forward to learning more about that guitar. What happened to his deal with MusicMan and Ibanez? I guess Dean had a better offer.

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Seems kind of cheesy to me.

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Isn't that how Dean went down the tubes last time, making cheesy super strats?

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Vinnie is great. However, it kinda sucks that last year he was saying how much better Music Mans were than his Ibanez...this year I am sure he says that about the Dean. Funny, they are pretty much all the same guitar. Maybe Dean just offered him a better deal.

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

I kind of want one of those Heartfield Talons he used to play at least way more than his upcoming Dean. Apparently those things were made in the same factory that made Ibanez RGs.

Never followed him much but this video and guitar will forever live in my memory as a reminder of the early '90's.

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Any of you guys remember when Vinnie came on the forum? Very cool....

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

I still love MELTDOWN!!! The headstock on that axe is goofy looking for some reason.. Mustaine's too

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

I`m a big Vinnie Moore fan but i don`t like Dean guitars!!!! I`m surprised that he left MusicMan but if he got a great deal then good for him...he deserves it!

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Dean should win an award on the most fugly headstocks!

I heard through the grapevine that he changed from MusicMan for the money, thats all.
Thats pretty much all endorsements are anyway. I mean why do you think most players are on huge company endorsements? Cause they give more money. MO Money, MO money.
Its their job for christs sake. They dont care what guitar they play live.

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

I think it's a pretty cool guitar with the HSS configuration and a maple board. I hate that headstock though. It's the same one they use on the new Mustaine V and it just looks like a knockoff wannabe. Granted, their regular V headstock wouldn't work on that guitar but they have plenty of other standard ones that would work fine for that shape. No need to create a new one that's so lame.

That was one of the coolest moments ever on the SDUGF.

And to those saying the guitar is cheesy... well, Moore's playing is, too. Fits like a glove! :lmao:

Nice to get the official word from Sterling Ball's mouth...

Now if we could just get his word on why EVH left.. we've heard multiple reasons- they weren't making enough guitars, Peavey already made his amp so offered him more money, etc...

But the more interesting story would be why he left Peavey (I ready Hartley Peavey got mad at EVH showing drunk to a NAMM convention)

Yeah, but that's a story he won't tell; probably a lot of really hurt feelings in that deal....

No s***? When was this? That is so cool. Does he still participate in the forum? If not, why doesn't someone send him an email and invite him back?

Re: New Vinnie Moore Dean Guitar

Slightly related...

I can't say I am much of a fan of MAB, but his guitar sure looks cool.

That's way cool. The Vinnie Moore guitar, as someone said, looks too much like Dean's first attempt at bolt on shredders that forced the company to go under in the first place.
