New wah pedal for me!!!

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

Wow looks like a nice wah.

Rid, do you think the new CM wah might be a thing for me to buy? Looks good :)

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

**** son......you trying to be like me???? :D

Now all you need is a Blackstone :bigthumb:

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

I think you're trying to be like me!

You got a Teese?!

There are so many cool pedals...to get them all woudl take years and cost a boat load of cash...

Truth is I have pedals I haven't even seen in months and even my newest board has pedals that will see very little to no use depending on what amp Im using...

If I take that Deluxe out the only pedals that will see any use are the wah and the beano boost, the plex will be on and thats about it but if I take the twin or Sound City I will need some help getting some dirt.

I am also in fuzztone mode right now, Ive been pricing and trying all different kinds of fuzz pedals recently...just what I need right!?

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

Yup...have had the Teese for a while; traded my Mesa Bottle Rocket for it.

Wah--Beano--Fuzz Face will be INCREDIBLE with the Deluxe!!!! :32:

That's all I ever threw on the Fuchs....maybe a little Delay too & OH....the aural pleasure !!!!! :D

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

I've got the RMC1 wah and it actually works pretty well for my humbucker guitars...but not as well as my Wizard wah that got stolen from me :( I loved that Wizard wah....I would love to have one again....now that I'm using buckers more I might want to trade out for it. what I *REALLY* want is to just mod my RMC1 for unity gain instead of the 6dB boost that it adds when it's clicked on....anyone know how to do that mod?

Glad you're lovin your TGWIF!

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

Yeah, I've got the RMC1 & installed a Foxrox retrofit in it, so it'll get along with the Sunlion better.

I don't play a lot of wah or humbuckers, but no issues at all :bigthumb:

***HEY CAPO***

Did you ever sell that fretless J bass ???

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

Now THAT'S a wah! I bought an RMC1 direct from Geoffrey about 3 years ago. I didn't want the 6dB boost, so he made me one which sits at unity gain so there's no boost. I deliberated for quite awhile between that and the Picture Wah, but as a Strat player I decided on the RMC1. I think what you've got there is just about the best wah on the planet! The RMC1 is a superb wah, but to get that "vomiting duck" sound, there's nothing like the Picture Wah. Great to hear that you're so happy with it. I went through a similar search, and like you, I came to the conclusion that Teese wahs are as good as it gets. Nice score tgwif!

Cheers............................wahwah

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

The Wizard is a nice wah...not a vintage tone at all but still a great sounding wah! I still haven't tried an RMC1 but after talking with Geoffrey Imnot too worried about it, he said that would be the last one of his wah I should look at.

The Picture sounds just like the old recordings I grew up listening to and still love...early Zep, Jeff Beck around Truth and Beck Ola, early Clapton...it just nails them all! There were other Teese wahs I really liked but I knew I'd like the picture more in the long run and would get more use out.

I'll say this to anybody thats wah shopping, if you're looking for a wah and can't find a Teese you like you just don't like wah pedals!

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

That's too bad that extra second that I need to turn whah on at the right time throws me off a lot, and I never could get use to doing it right, that's why I love my bad hoarsie.

There are 2 things I really dislike about an optical wah...one is the tone, and I don't mean that as a slam I've just never tried one that sounded right to me but the other thing is that you can't get the wah in a spot where you dig the tone and just walk away from it...I do that a lot!

I am happy with as far as doing my usual thing with Bad Hoarsie but at some point I would wanna do something that would requires a vintage whah, I guess then I would have to spend time and try to get use to that clicker ... on the ohter hand the Wizard sounds like something that would be great for the stuff that I do, but budget wise its out of the question for now.

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

I'm pretty happy with my Fulltone Clyde Deluxe, since it has 3 different sweeps on a 3 way rotary dial. But wah's all have different flavors, and there's so many cool ones out there.
Now, Christian has me jonesing for a Picture Wah!

I was even curious to check out the new Dunlops...the Hendrix and Slash ones. They look SO pretty, and I'd imagine Dunlop did their best to capture those sounds. I'd love to grab one of those on the cheap, in the used market just to mess with.....especially if it has a sound that isn't possible with the Clyde Deluxe.

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

Joe I did get to try the new Dunlop wahs briefly at a GC a few weeks back and they are not much better (if any at all better) than the old Dunlop wahs...they make great looking paper weights though! I just don't know why people don't go all the way with things like that but IMO they didn't!

I'll be honest with ya, the Fulltone wah is nice and it does have a good sound to it but this RMC just NAILS early Jimmy Page, Clapton with cream, Hendrix, Jeff Beck on Truth...you get the idea. There are other RMC wahs they are just as killer AND have more sounds but I didn't want to fool with extra controls and I just wanted one killer wah tone so I opted for the Picture. If you;re into tweaking on the fly the RMC-2 is KILLER...it has a Volume control a Q control and an 11 position sweep selector switch on it and let me tell you , it's amazing! The RMC-3 has even more than that!! The 3 has 4 internal pots, 2 fine tune trimmers and a bank of 9 dip switches to adjust the sweep but they are all indise so tweaking on the fly is out of the question.

Another thing that really sold me on the RMC is the built in buffer to use with fuzz pedals...for the firsttime ever I can fun my wah and a fuzz tone and get the WHOLE sweep w/o any squelling and I love it!

Re: New wah pedal for me!!!

Just when I buy a Fulltone Deluxe I gotta hear this, especially after reading old threads with YOU CHRISTIAN saying that the Fulltone was the best......heheheheh hope you enjoy it! I still enjoy mine, when I find something I dislike about mine, I'll jump for the picture wah! lol

The Fulltone is a good wah for sure but for me the Teese is just better...it all depends on the player, the desired results and the other gear involved. I think Geoffrey Teese is a wah wah guru...he does nothging else except build wah pedals and he has researched them ALL and has it down to a science!

Enjoy that Fulltone for sure...if you ever get a chance try an RMC and decide for yourself...
