Did a trade for this thing. I need to do a little work, maybe go with the Lollar pickups in it. The stock ones aren't too bad with 500K pots on it.

Is that a mim? I tried one that looked just like that in the shop not so long ago. It was super classy. I would like one.

That in HS would look grand.

Nice score! The other guitarist in my band has one of these that he never plays and I've been trying to get him to sell it to me for years to no avail.

A friend of mine has the older Tele Custom RI that was made in Japan, and it sounded great with the stock pu's. I don't know if the pickups and pots were different on those than on the current Mexican models, the only problem I had with it was that it broke strings like crazy with the stock steel bridge saddles.

Those things are so slick. I'd have one if they had 22 frets.

As it stands, I've been thinking about a Warmoth version with the Rio Grande versions of those pups. It'll never happen but it's nice to think about.

The thing rings wonderfully unplugged. I am thinking of ordering a Warmoth pickugard for it, with regular HB routes. This would allow me to install a Brobucker and Antiquity in it... Quite a combo!
