So recently I got a sweet deal on buying my friend's Epiphone G-400 for only 200! I say it's a damn deal because the thing is practically new and played a show with it only once and I already have new pickups waiting for it so I wasn't apprehensive that it was an Epiphone. The only catch....I don't like the color (Cherry Red; a red SG style guitar is just too common these days).
So I've been thinking...I've been wanting to apply an original paint job design to a guitar and which better than the one with the color I don't like. How do I go about doing this?? Since this would be my first I am clueless. I know it would be mostly dark colors (Black, Midnight Blue, Gray). I also want it to be stunning and have it last a long time (no flaking or fading in a short while from a ****ty paint job). Sanding?? Specific Paints?? Finishes?? PLZ HELP!!!:smash:
