Just found this forum and signed up. I could really use some help here if anybody has time. Here is my situation. I own a Fender American Deluxe Fat Stratocaster. It is a H-S-S config, and has the 5 way super switch, but no S-1 system. I got a Duncan CC to replace the Fender bridge humbucker. I had somebody do the install for me and it sounded awful. Major noise, not just with the humbucker, but also with the 2 stock noiseless single coils. I popped another PUP in there to make sure it wasn'r a damaged pickup and it was the same thing, so I assumed the wiring was wrong. What he did was replace the Fender black wire with the Duncan black, the Fender red with the Duncan red... just matching all the colors. What I have gathered is that the Fender wire colors do not coinside with the Duncan colors, so that was the problem. The problem I am having is that there doesn't seem to be any wiring schematics on the Duncan site showing me how to wire to the super switch. I know there are a lot of knowledgeable people here and I was really hoping somebody could clear this up for me. Sorry for babbling on and Thanks for your help. It's nice to meet you all.
