That second link has got a killer riff! The drums are annoying me though. They sound too fake on the snare. Whats with that? Matter of fact the drums are programmed right?

yea...those recordings were made prior to the pickup of our new drummer...hopefully we'll have some new recordings with a HUMAN drummer soon.

Actually, the other guitarist is a code writer, and he actually wrote the drum machine software we used for these recordings. You can do SO much more stuff with his program than with most software packages. it's called rythm rascal...i can send you a link if you'd like to download it.

You guys definately are influenced by Exhumed! Awesome band. About the Flextone III What kind of settings are you dialing in? Can you upload your settings to Custom tone by line 6 edit? I want to see how different yours is. Yeah that would be cool if you sent link and your tone settings for the Flextone III if you guys have that patched MIDI anyways. Does your band have a website and a name yet?

Also What kind of Pickups and guitar are you guys using?

Actually, I've never heard of Exhumed, but I'll guarantee I'll check 'em out! Our main influences are Suffocation (the BEST), Cannibal Corpse, Carcass (older stuff), Morbid Angel, and Pantera (RIP Dime). I'll get with Randy (the other guitarist) and post our presets for ya and let you know when they're up. My preset on those recordings is the Mesa Triple Recto model and Mesa 4x12 cab emulation. Bass: 5, Mid: 7, Treb: 7, Gain: 7, Presence: 7. The triple recto preset is so bass heavy, when we rehearse I actually have to turn the bass down to 3....still rumbles! We used the XLR outs on these recordings too.

The name of our band is Wermod (Old English for Wormwood)...see the bood of the Revelation. We don't have a website, but we're workin' on it.

BTW, I use an Ibanez AX7521 and Randy uses a Schecter C-7...both seven strings with STOCK pickups.

No probs welcome to the forum! About Exhumed if you like older Carcass you will love Exhumed. Now I hear the other influences. Keep it coming dude there are plenty of extreme dudes in this forum.

*edit* The drums don't sound that great at higher speeds. lol I still want the link though. :)

i´m Into Black/death/thrash/fusion metal.. i´m downloading right now the 4 files...
and 1 of them has just arrived here... and... it seems like your band follow the steps of Suffocation (less technical) and some kind of 80´s usa death metal with some touches of today´s Modern Death Metal(don´t confuse HERE, i didn´t say NEW metal i hate it, ahahahahah )

i can feel some Dying fetus little influences on the WICKED first riff of the song5_mixdown05.mp3 and on the palm mutted 3 riff.
I can see some Cannibal Corpse influences too.now some Doom/swedish death metal influences...AND now some influences from Incantation(the Ugly tenebrous Riffs)
ON this THE CRUSED-MIXDOWNVOCALLSBASS i liked the vocals.. and the style again looks like DOOm metal in the beginning like OLD anathema.
it reminds me old Entombed. just A Little.

good stuff, but not too much Innovative ... a lot heavy and sometimes Sludge metal like crowbar.. but definitely Deathmetal.

Dude, I'm listening to the second link--Awesome! These are great brutal riffs and cool drum/guitar rhythm arrangements. Haven't heard this style in a while. Crap Nu metal has been taking over. This is the real f*ckin stuff though. You guys play any shows?

Really enjoying this.
