Got the body on ebay for a steal (almost anyway). Was going to send it back to Warmoth for a paint job when an accomplice recommended a local fellow for the work. Marc Stol of Stol Guitars, Guilford, CT, did the finish for a very reasonable fee. This one is poly, and he also does nitro. This is a Korina body/ maple top. Still obsessing over a bridge p'up. I have a JB, '78 Custom, and DMZ AT-1. probably try all of them at some point. I'm thinking lil demon for the neck.946482_10151578156792716_1603853663_n.jpgimage.jpg
This kind of work just impresses the hell out of me. Ill try anything with a soldering iron, but this stuff is out of my reach.

Haha. Yup. I had a dean deceiver w a Floyd that I liked, but standing up, it hung like a Strat. Now that I'm old and inflexible, I want it to hang like an lp. Forgot to mention, it looks even better in person, like a swimming pool. 3D.

Reminds me of the old Ibanez Marineburst finish from the early Eighties. Tasteful.

As promised, finally a finished product. Went with the '78 in the bridge. Tried the at-1, it lasted about 20 min. Area 67 in the neck for now. Love the tone, but the diff in volume w the 78 is a bit more than I like, so it will eventually get a demon or 59.

Wow i totally dislike lp's but somehow yours has me interested. That maple with the blue is a winning colour combo.

That is one sweet LP!! I have a korina Warmoth LP with a Wilkinson trem and absolutely love it! I am very impressed with the finish as well, great find on both the body and work!
