I think people write off teles as only having that twangy sound. You can get some cool tones from one just by rolling the tone knob off slightly and/or using both pickups together. Love the black finish with maple neck combo. I think a tortoiseshell pick guard would look better than a black one, but that's just my two cents. Enjoy the new guitar.
