My latest guitar build I call my Emerald Burst. My last one as you may remember was my Caramel Burst.
This started out as a Rogue Rocketeer HSS that I got brand new for about 1/2 price. All of the components (and I DO mean "ALL"... tuners, trem, pups, pots, switch, knobs, even guitar strap knobs) were VERY cheap quality and I didn't particularly like the body shape. But it was solid and had a good neck, nice and straight and frets were pretty level, but the fret ends were overextended and were sharp as razors.
I reshaped the body, shortened the headstock, routed for HSH, deepened the belly cut in the back and the arm relief in front, deeply rounded the edges, created a PRS-type hand relief in the lower cutout, and reduced the neck heel and plate for easier access to the higher frets, and did a fret job rounding and polishing the fret ends until they are as smooth as silk and barely even noticeable when playing.
OK, so not what you've been waiting for...pics.
