NGD...1973 Les Paul Deluxe

The UPS man brought this beauity to me today! '73 Deluxe, headstock repair, original patent sticker mini humms, medium neck. Original pots, caps and toggle. I'm not sure if the bridge and tailpiece are original though?

Low/wide frets...great action! Sounds incredible!!! A real Kalamazoo treasure!!!

Hard to believe she is 40 yrs old!!!

Oh man, congrats!!

I had one that was probably a few years newer in the mid/late 80s. Stock, cherry sunburst like yours. A fantastic guitar, and it sounded sooo good through the JCM 800 half stack that I used then.

That is a sweet looking (and playing) axe! I'm drooling...

Yep, love the pancake.

They've got their own thing going on the deluxes. I've got an '80, and its one of the nicest neck positions I've heard.

Great timing on a new Les Paul thread from Mr. brentrocks...

It was a year ago today that you posted a thread about a Gold Top Les Paul...a 52/56 conversion that had been renecked.

I have to ask, what ever happened to it???

oh yeah....the neck pickup/position has a sound all its own!!!

thanks man...i'm playing through a Chicago Blues box Kingston reverb 1x12 with vintage NOS tubes.......WOW!!!!! ill post a clip.

Do you intentionally gravitate towards guitars with headstock repairs?

Mine's a '78 - non-pancake one-piece Mahogany back, maple neck, 9.5 lbs, last of the Kalamazoos. Love this guitar...

Almost scored a '72 last year, but it was a bit too beat up for my liking.
