NGD : '80s Flashback Content

Re: NGD : '80s Flashback Content

DAYUM! I'm not much of a hair metal guy, but I like the crazy guitars from that era. That's SWEET!

I think there are alot of geat axes left over from those days...just finding them is the hard part.

Re: NGD : '80s Flashback Content

Thanks Guys. I was playing her tonight for a few hours, I swear its the only axe I have that has made a PATB sound trebley.

The split PASTK/PATB tone sounds positively twangy, and I've been mucking about with the backstop to see if I can get it to behave a bit more like a hardtail on double stop bends. It'd be kinda funny to rip off some clean blues licks on this ;)

Re: NGD : '80s Flashback Content

could you wire it in series, and then reverse the wiring on a push/pull, so that when you pulled it up you had the triple-bucker, and bucker+single when down?

P.S. This is a purely an idea, I have little to no clue what I'm on about

P.P.S. Sorry for all the commas

Sweet! I'm guessing (no I didn't read the whole thread) that that is the on from eBay that the guy said he was a Reverend Guitars employee of some sort. Very nice! Contgratulations.

Yeah, I'm trying to think it out that way. I'd like the switching to end up with a standard 3-way, a split on a push-pull, and a series parallel switch. I really want the series tone, both split and full bucker.

Spot on, though I bought it from seeing it on the Jemsite forum and contacting Ken (Haas) directly. He's a really cool bloke, and the guitar came perfectly setup within 24hrs. He sold all the others he had pretty much immediately, and this was the final one.

Haha what's with all these uncommon 80s Ibanez guitars lately?
Can't quite say the guitar is quite my thing as for what I'd personally play, but damn it's really cool nonetheless. Just nice to see people loving those old 80s Ibanez guitars
