If your TV Jones Classics are muddy then there's definitely a problem. Those are some of the clearest and richest sounding pickups on the market. I'd check to see if the recommended pot value is in there.

Well I have spent more time tweaking this thing than anyone should have to.
The neck is a TV Classic and the bridge is the Classic Plus. The only pot in the guitar is a 500k, and the wiring is just a 3 way toggle. Can't get much easier than that.
Might see this one in the classifieds soon.

Do I detect the future test bed of a set of SD Custom Shop Psyclones? Good thinking on the pickguard, I definitely like the look.

I never changed from the Classic/Classic Plus. I just had to get the height in the right spot. I jammed on it a fair amount tonight and the only thing that needs changing is maybe the pickguard. Black is kinda boring on this one and maybe some kind of tort.
