So I had the strap button removed and the dive is all but gone. I'll look into replacing the nut next!

you can find the graphtech preslotted for epiphone for like $13 on ebay. you'll need to sand it down and adjust further.

was the dude for real telling you replacing the nut would fix the dive?? He must think the nut is made of lead...?? just sayin...
