Technically, this is a belated NGD, as I actually bought this yestersay. Used.

Very nice guitar. The only flaws are the lack of a string retainer, a three way switch instead of a five way, one missing sidedot, dirty frets, a very small and shallow paint chip, and a rather uninspiring trem. Nothing money can't fix.

More pics are coming later.

Now other than the mods that I'll perform, I only have to name it... And I can't think of a good name.

I'm having fun alright. This is the perfect modding platform AND a very usable guitar. The neck's thin, but doesn't feel overly so. And it's rock solid.

I think I'll probably call ot Carmine Cherry...

My '88 jackson custom shop strat didn't come with a string retainer either. They aren't essential

With the action I play... Though I maintain that it isn't high, the strings go so out of tune every time I lock the nut that I have to fine tune it too much. Too much, in fact, that should the strings go out of tune again, I might not have enough room for more adjustments.
