WA-DA-FUC-IS-DA-ET-CUSTOM?:yell:

He has had an absolute shocker of a year. His cutting machine carked it, he was in amongst the recent bush fires and had to move everything out. I feel for the poor guy so I'll just keep patient.

I honestly don't think anything has been done yet. 😔 I've got all the hardware and pickups waiting to be assembled.

I bet he spent all the money and he is on a island living it up. :biglaugh:

NICE man! Been a fan of Carvins for years and owned dozens of them over the years.
Only have the 1 right now in my 1990 Pearl Pink X220C but am looking hard at building a DC 300 or CT324.

These are just some of the Carvins I once owned.

Re: NGD: Carvin Allan Holdsworth HF2

That's pretty cool that you essentially swapped if for the Wolf, though not surprising given how Carvins go.

Never properly played a Holdsworth but felt one up - chunky neck with flat radius, pretty interesting. It was a burgundy flametop with a VS100 trem and gold hardware.

I love your X220, that is one hell of a guitar. AND.... Wow your previous collection was insane. I'm sorry you don't all have them all anymore 💔

Re: NGD: Carvin Allan Holdsworth HF2

HNGD! Thats a nice looking top. Carvin doesn't get any love, but I haven't run into one yet that didn't have top notch build quality. If you find one that speaks to you, they are a great deal.

The hell it doesn't... Haven't snagged me a good deal on a Carvin guitar yet, but I dig their amplification stuff, and own a Carvin amp & Carvin cab. Most rugged heavy duty gear I've seen yet. Carpet & metal > Tolex & cloth

😆 I have a feeling that you are the first person in history to have said - you have felt up a Holdsworth.

I very much doubt even Allans wife has made such a statement.

Out of curiosity, what is the most memorable, enjoyable guitar feel up you've had over the years? And... where did this encounter take place?

Sorry to go off topic, but can you share some info on the yellow guitar?

Yes, it was deliberate :P.

Apart from my #1 which I've had since 2011, I really liked the Pierre Bensusan Lowden I played recently in a shop up the road from where I live. Spanking guitar for fingerstyle. Only bad thing about it is that it's about $9200.

Re: NGD: Carvin Allan Holdsworth HF2

^^ Yes the short-lived signature Roadstars. There was a single hum and dual hum version. Both rare and can fetch a pretty penny - decent price on that one in the link.

Shame about the Power Rocker trem though...
