NGD: Don't know about it being my last guitar ever....

Eh? It's all about the new guitar: pics, vids and other fun/cool/useful/helpful stuff & involves loads of self sacrifice from my end.....I'm sure you appreciate that :bigthumb:

More uncomplaining self-sacrifice from my side :bigthumb:

Plus it would be selfish on my part to leave everyone hanging....since I've only demo'd three of the ten available tones (thanks to the "Alter switch") so far...

....so do the math :bigthumb:

Well at least no one can blame me for being selfish. MIncer nipped things in the bud thanks to all GuitarDoc's spoilsport OCD whining. Obviously tried to fulfill my obligations up there ...it just was'nt to be...

Looks like I'll have to wend my merry way thru the rest of the tones down here instead... :bigthumb:

5/10

I call this "Wuv in the Slums"

..just 5 more to go as far as the essesntial Tone demo's go (should've been allowed to finish those up there in the guitar thread, but GuitarDoc's to blame) ..then I can start on the other stuff (w/ a bunch of amp's/different styles incl. jazz, comparisons w/ other axes etc....)

enough guys. doc didnt move it, its up to the admins. clips should be in tips & clips

I moved this. When a thread becomes more about the clips, I put it in the right forum to help people find it later.

Typical behavior of a narcissist...blame others.

Don't believe it? Look it up.

You do know I'm pulling your leg I hope... unless you really think all his affects me deeply and I spend my life fretting over it & blaming you :lmao:

i could'nt care less where it (thread) is ..I just like playing & making/posting clips :D

6/10 ... (Neck - Middle Notch w/ "Alter" Switch ON for a sweet single-coil tone) That makes six down four to go.....

Yes a tremendous amount of time/effort goes into these ^^ clips, but the informative-ness makes it worth it :bigthumb:

Thanks to my humility & magnanimity ..I don't mind though :bigthumb:

"Selfless service" has always been my motto....

Which is why I selflessly bought myself a new amp the other day. ie. The sweet Laney SS IRF goodness I've been gassing for since they were out :bigthumb:

Upcoming NAD thread means I will head back up there to Amp Central soon...where I'll have the good fortune to continue demo'ing this sweetass Ibby axe (and perhaps many other's...depending on Mincer's mood/tolerance :p ) thru the (hopefully) rocking new head :bigthumb:

This axe really has a rich, full-bodied sound & the sustain is unreal...it's got this cool 'singing' quality to it..

I was expecting it to be much heavier than it is too..but it's pretty light about the same weight as my Jem Woody if I were to guess.

Really can't get over how fast and spanky it feels...notes "pop out" like a nice bolt-on. Feels great for tapping & the note-separation is fantastic too. I wonder if that's got anything to do w/ the SS frets?

Anyway....it was a choice between this and the blingy new S Series w/ the fanned gold frets which was also in stock. I'm a sucker for Sabre's but this one did'nt do it for me. It was even more blingy in person than I thought it would be and looked like it would be more suited to a teenage chick aesthetically than a middle aged dude..also the lack of a trem bothered me. It did play and sound great though.

Did'nt even notice that the frets were fanned. Having said that, this one blew it away in every possible way..so no contest :bigthumb:

Also the "Alter switch' far from being gimmicky actually does give you a very authentic single coil sound in all it's positions, brighter & with more bite. It's not a super-splattery vintage-y single coil sound but more 'shred' ala Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, Lynch et..

Website says 'coil-tapped' tones not 'split' for those who are anal about that sort of thing ..w/e it may be, it's very single coil-ish indeed....definitely gives you 5 absolutely legit extra tonal options..
