NGD - Epi Dot

Traded a bunch of gear and pedals I had laying around.

I've always wanted a 335 style guitar. Can't afford Gibson or Heritage and these Epi's are the next best thing. All others in that price range seem to pale by comparison.

Excellent. I am so eyeing a few Dot's all the time. They are really really good guitars for the price. And, of course, adjustable to excellent.

I have a Dot Studio that got a JB/Jazz and harness upgrade that just effing RAWKS. I always love that Red / Silver combo.

I'm loving it. All the common BB tones are there. It takes a surpring amount if gain without getting squealy too.

It came with no pickguard. After seeing there didn't seem to be many aftermarket options. I decided to order a wooden blank and make my own. I even found a site that gives PDF templates of the pickguards of numerous guitars

I'm thinking flame maple with either trans black or a dark brown stain.

Does anyone know if thd spacing of thd pickups in the Epi Dot and Gibson 335 are the same?

I eventually plan swapping out the pickups. I'm thinking Saturday Night Special set, Pearly Gates or Seth Lover set.

Whatever is in there right now seem fine though.
