NGD: It's a Jackson.

A quicksilver Warrior, to be exact. And it is fugly as sin.

Saw it on craigslist about 2 hours ago. Kid wanted a muzzle loader rifle. Well, I just so happened to have exactly what he was looking for. So, I traded a $200 rifle for it... And I almost feel bad about it.... almost.

I still have to feel it out some more, but I can tell you, I don't like the EMG 81, at all. May end up flipping this one.

Ignore my holy sock, I was feeling religious today.

Supposed to be? If it's not a bolt-on with a big ol' heel, it's neck-through. I don't believe Jackson does set-necks of that sort.

That's good to know.

I knew nothing of the guitar when I picked it up, except that it looked kinda pretty in the picture. It Seems like a decent enough little axe though. The Floyd Rose Special, feels pretty good, but it has a nasty little crap looking block on it, but that can be replaced.
Frets are great, it's super light, and plays pretty gosh-darn well. I think I might just like it.

Rock out with your Sock out! Crank up the bass on that EMG, scale back the mids, give it a chance. You got a gosh darn heck of a good deal. (That case alone is worth 75.00). Ive wanted to try those Warriors. Its a MIJ model ( they are , sadly, out of production in Japan), Plus the reverse Sharkies and bound neck and headstock all scream quality...and Metal! If thats a set neck, which form the picture it looks as if it is, ( no neck heel attachment screws) you made an even bigger grab! hell, I'll trade you a American Standard Tele ( well, it has a mighty mite neck) for that in a flash!

Do you reckon it's a set neck with a long tenon? Those are worth more.

I have a long tenon.:D

honestly don't know, but good eye by Lamprecht catching that about the set neck ..it does look like a set neck, and yeah, my set neck MIJ Jackson doesnt go that deep with the neck into the body, so it does look like a long tenon; good eye.

1.) Do you know the difference between a set neck and a neck-through?

2.) Do you realize Andrew Lamprecht hasn't posted in this thread?

Oh, I mean TLD. Sorry. It wouldnt be a neck thru, but it looks like maybe a set neck, although i was just 'zammening my RR# Rhoads, and the bolt on neck goes deep into the body like that Warior, so I think its just the normal bolt on neck. we'll see.
I've never heard of a set Jackson with a long tenon, do they make those? If so,any MIJ, or only US Custom shop?

If that has an 85 in the neck, put it in the bridge and put the 81 in the neck.
