Re: NGD... just WOW!!!
My LP Standard wasn't my first choice in guitars that were in the shop at the time. It's got a nice, tight, 3D cherryburst thing going on, but the one that I really wanted had perfectly straight, wide flames and looked like something you'd see in a '59 Burst coffee table book. It also had a thinner neck (which I prefer). But the one that I ended-up buying just that that huge sound and mojo in it. And at the end of the day, TONE is where it's at. Funny how that big ole fat neck doesn't seem to bother me much when I'm laying-down big, fat, chunky tones that almost give me goose bumps.
Yeah, that was my take on the PRS'. Felt like a nice piece, but didnt have much mojo. Cept that one. It just oozed mojo.
Alot of LPs are like that too. That's why I bought the wine red one I have. Wanted a black one, but the guitar itself had soul. It had nicer sustain and I can feel the whole guitar vibrate in my hands, like its alive.
