NGD: Last one for a little while

Re: NGD: Last one for a little while

Floats my boat...

Out of curiosity, what's the aim in lapping the back of the bridge, and how do you go about it?

Re: NGD: Last one for a little while

Well this is the last relic I had scheduled to build (or the parts waiting), and I am ready for a little break. That is three Teles, and four Strats in about five weeks.

Double bound Alder tele in Candy Apple Red. MJT paint, 9.5" radius quartersawn maple neck, SS frets, and Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups.

This is awesome! Killer tele right here.

Man, that's so far up my street, it's practically in my driveway.

I really wish it was actually in my driveway.

Nice work, man! Looks killer. :beerchug:

The Fender ashtray bridge is stamped, and therefore not flat on the bottom. This causes vibration, and vibration causes noise. You can switch out the stamped plate for a thicker aftermarket plate, but you lose some of the vintage twang.
