Another gig in the books with it and my initial feelings are solidified. This guitar kicks all kinds of ass, I love it!!!

Re: NGD: LP Jr finally!

pure rawk....

All it NEEDS is a Custom Shop P-90 that is hot but tappable to vintage, with a Push pull pot.

No it doesn't - all he needs to do is to make sure it's '50s wiring. Roll back his volume control a little for a lower output cleaner sound - no tapping BS necessary. That's the beauty of those guitars - the total simplicity coupled with huge dynamic response from the electronics.

Re: NGD: LP Jr finally!

Actually I think it has a treble bleed, no issues sonically at all. Great balance, really easy to dial in.

Re: NGD: LP Jr finally!

I was really hoping they'd do the LP Jr. in lefty as well, but they only did the SG's. Sad Mr 9finger. I guess I'll have to wait some more. Awesome that you got one though!

Re: NGD: LP Jr finally!

Man, I hate those month long police holds that the music stores have to abide by.

I feel pathetic when I go there to "visit" a guitar I should already have. LOL

It's been awhile since I've owned a P-90 guitar, so this isn't helping my addiction at all.

Re: NGD: LP Jr finally!

They had an '86 there as well that I am tempted to make a deal on. That's what my old one was.

On the cheap side you know what was a real cool little P-90 guitar? The Epi '61 SG Special's that have been floating around lately. The white one's seem to have nicer necks for some weird reason but it's seems to be pretty consistent, nicer by neck shape. Least for me anyway.

Hopefully he has a few hundreds pounds on me, hehe

Sorry man, didn't mean to imply anything negative with that. Glad you took it with a chuckle.

I guess there's more than one reason they called the group "Mountain", lol. Not just the size of his tone.

Love the guitar.....and very cute dog as well.
