NGD: Maiden Content

I decided that I needed another Floyd Rose equipped guitar in the stable- as I had gotten rid of all of my FR guitars. After an hour of trying out everything in my local GC that had a locking trem, this Jackson Adrian Smith model came home with me. What a great mid priced guitar. You simply cannot beat this guitar for the $499 they are asking for it. The factory setup was just spot on, and the neck is pure butter to play on. It's basically a killer San Dimas for half the price.

Nice! I think it would be cool to try and put a "Killers" graphic on the front of my strat. With a clear PG and a Super Distortion/PAF Pro combo, it would be quite the kickass piece.

Unfortunately, the guitar is routed HSS, or I would look at putting a PAF Pro in the neck. Oh well... It's a great playing guitar. And that's all I can ask for.

Very cool. I'm thinking that I will eventually put a Super Distortion in mine and replace the FR Special with a Gotoh.

Are you planning on keeping the singlecoils? I wonder if they're any good. Or maybe you'll replace the neck pickup with a pro track, its the closest single coil HB to a PAF pro.

In any case happy NGD! I bet its a killer axe.

Was looking at that very axe myself about a month ago, wanted to get someone's opinion / review before I pulled the trigger, but for less than $500.00, sounds like an awesome deal!

It's basically a San Dimas for half the price. I really like the guitar. I haven't had the chance to crank it through my 5153 yet, but I think it will sound good.

looks nice, son. the one i tried at the local gc was all mucked up from whomever, and the strings were rusty like a MF. i was so psyched to jam on it too. hopefully yours was near freshness.

Awesome! Congrats! Ive played a couple of those and found them very tempting! For awhile, my local GC had one of those and a nearly perfect used USA one and I played em both back to back. Actually liked the import better. The selector switch was alil bit flimsier (easy change) and the pups are no name, but it was more solid feeling and sustained better. The other definately was not $1400 better.
