Fantastic (or Phantasmagorical?) looking guitar! That active circuit, simulating the neck/third pickup, seems quite an interesting feature. Unfortunately, I also am in that "what to do with 30 frets?" category. Actually, after 39 years of playing 21 or 22 fret electrics, I am still challenged by what to do with the extra 2 frets on my LE HM Strat and RG421.

Thanks! I do think it's a stunner to look at myself & the active circuit actually works very well and does a great job of emulating the tone (& feel) of a neck pickup. Regarding the 30 frets. I guess the real plus there is the effortless access you get up to the 24th fret...the rest of them (frets) I look at as a kind of 'bonus' I guess they could be useful on occasion, but I'm not sure how often that would be :D

Speedy melodic power/neoclassical metal tune after a much-needed string change. I'm getting way more comfortable with this axe now....

It's built for the fine art of shred \m/

Thanks guys!

What I'm discovering more day by day is that it actually plays like a dream. The shred factor is through the roof..There are no gimmicks. This is a very easy to play guitar thanks to all that's different about it :bigthumb:

Those extra upper frets are already becoming easier to work with...

It's too bad they were discontinued. Ibanez was really onto something great here....just glad I was finally able to pick one up!

Is the neck super thin like the Super Wizard or more similar to the Wizard 3 neck?

No this is a "wizard III XH". I do have an old MIJ Sabre (S-540 LTD) from '94 with the super wizard that I do love...,but this shreds every bit as well & is very comfortable so no complaints :D

Sorry if I missed this in previous posts but do you know what kind of pickups are in it?
