NGD: Schecter C-1 Platinum

I’ve been kicking around a few trades lately, and kind of went left field. Met up with a super cool guy (likely a new guitar friend), and swapped my VM Jaguar and my old project Epiphone Les Paul for his Schecter C-1 Platinum in a nice Road Runner bag.

It’s been over a decade since I used EMGs, but holy hell have I missed this sound! I had a few lower end Schecters before, and still have a Revenger 7, but the build quality of this thing is unbelievable. It practically plays itself and sustains for days. That neck joint is the polar opposite of what I’m used to, but I love it!

I own a C-1 and it's one of the best quality instruments I have.

I think it’s interesting that everybody who was doing Asian stuff, Ibanez, Jackson, LTD, etc... have all moved to China and Indonesia, but Schecter (and PRS) have stuck with Korea.

Nice instrument. Played half a dozen of those schecter and ended up buying a KM-6 (that's basically a C-1) because of the blackened black winter combo in it. Really nice neck profile, way different from Ibanez or Jackson. it takes a couple of weeks to get familiar to. But now I love it.
