So I recently purchased a used C1 classic. I was stoked I got a good deal. When i got home and plugged it in, no sound. I bought a 5 way switch and wired it up according to the Seymour Duncan website. So what position does what? I cant tap the coils because gold covers.

This the diagram I followed.

Edit:
I should reclearify, after replacing the switch I got it to work. But based on that wiring diagram, I dont know what position does what. Which is why I'm here.

If you have four wires.on the pickups, the covers dont matter
In fact, the covers wouldn't detract from coil splitting at all
It's a wiring thing not a cover thing

Could you post an image of your wiring. Probably just left something either un attached
Or attached to the wrong spot

Ahhh look at the capacitor on the tone control
If the leg of the cap is touching the body of the pot it will short the whole circuit to ground

Thus no sound

Check the jack, is it properly soldered and does it actually bite on your chord?

That wasnt the issue, the capacitor wasn't grounding out in the back of the pot.

Jack is secured and the solder joints look good.

Re: NGD Schecter C1 Classic need help

Looks like
Bridge hum
Both hum
Bridge split and neck hum
Neck split and bridge split

Re: NGD Schecter C1 Classic need help

Use a screwdriver

Plug it in to the amp
crank it loud
Touch the poles on each pickup

Move switch and repeat

You should be able to tell which ones are Active

Looks to me like:

1. Bridge
2. Neck & Bridge
3. Bridge
4. Bridge screw & Neck Slug
5. Bridge Slug
