NGD (sort of)

Not really new as it has sat waiting on me to finish it...

A couple years back I bought up several Road Worn teles and strats. Whenever they would come up cheap, I would buy them, and eventually I kept the ones I liked best. Of all the strats, I kept two...

This one started out as a Olympic White guitar, and became Shoreline Gold.

I stripped off the white, had MJT refinish (and relic) in Shoreline Gold. While the body was away, I flattened the radius to 9.5", added SS frets, and Duncan Antiquity Texas Hots. I swapped the stock trem for a Gotoh (relic) that has a slightly narrower string spacing.

Still tweaking the pickup heights, and what not, but this one is off the list!

I'm thinking a white body with a tortoise gaurd, Floyd Rose, Super Distortion/single-coil/PAF Pro, and a rosewood slab board on a maple neck. I need the SG first though.

So, basically a Strat for Iron Maiden tunes eh? Noice!

Anyway, mine right now is your traditional SSS Strat in either Vintage white or Olympic White, with a Maple fretboard/Neck. As far as pick-ups go, I'd probably go with Classic Stack Plus's or the Texas Specials. Both sound pretty phenomenal to my ears.

I just love a Single Coiled Strat sound sometimes. I get that urge every once in a while to get really bluesy or I get in the mode of pretending I'm Richie Blackmore. Sadly, I don't come off quite successfully with that, but hey! I atleast try! haha.

Great idea to refinish the guitar. Turning them into 9.5" or 10" is a fine idea.
