NGD: Stripped parts find

I found this 80s Kramer online on Marketplace yesterday. It was, like, $170. I had a floyd. I had a set of pickups. Thought "what the hell" and pulled the trigger.

Now I just finished reassembling it just now

Plays really well for an older guitar.


Pickups are DiMarzio (duh) Tone Zone and PAF 36th Anniversary. Not feeling those, but oh well. They're already in.

I always loved the lines on those Kramer Superstrats, they have the curves in good places. Looks great ... looks like $170 well-spent. HNGD!

It is a shame Gibson sat on the Kramer brand for so long. They could be coming out with all sorts of new models. What they have is basically what was available in 1985.

Thats nice looking. I had a single angled HB Kramer with a Floyd II when i was 16....had fret buzz too bad I was too dumb to know how to adjust the truss rod back then.

I am surprised that Gibson hasn't brought back the old aluminum-neck Kramers...I am sure they could charge a premium price.

Yeah, they were heavy! And not balanced well. But hey, it was worth the 3rd degree burns if it was out in the sun too long.

I've never played an aluminum neck, how's the sustain with them? I would assume it would be pretty amazing...

the attack was great, the sustain was nice, tone wasnt something i really liked
