Re: NGD: Talk to me about Cort
Yup. Exactly. You have to keep your eye out for the "deals". I scored a nice Epiphone "batwing" Strat a few weeks ago for $25. It's not nearly as nice as the Cort, but for $25, its an "experimental" model.
I don't mind the extravagance per se, as this seems like a solid axe. But, I do have a nice set of gold-covered Duncan Designed HB-102's sitting here. (JB/Jazz set.) I'm thinking of upgrading to gold hardware. I can get the stuff at wholesale through my luthier friend. The gold would really set off this wineberry, with gold metal flake, nicely.
I'll have to Google that. I'm not familiar with it, but then again, I think I'm going to leave the paint alone. Its actually one of my nicest looking guitars that I have now.
Cool deal.
Score that at the Fleamarket on Ramona off I-10? Been a while since I was there but I used to walk through that one and see a few guitars.

That makes it a later example.
Meanwhile, if SD P-Rails seem like an extravagance on a thirty Dollar bargain, consider GFS or Tonerider humbucker-sized P90s. Keep thinking SG Special.![]()
