NGD, The LAST NGD, I present to you, Irish

I love the top on that one, and the color just pops. My green LP Studio is so dark it's almost black in anything other than sunlight. The poker chip is the right call, looks better than the listing pictures without it.

Enjoy!

And like I said - the woodgrain is just way cooler than I can photo...Thanks!

Classic, Traditional, Standard - whatever. It isn't a Custom.

Single ply binding, trapezoid inlays, is a standard, by any other name.

difference neck shapes (the classic 60s neck and the standard 60s neck arent the same shape for example), different weight relief schemes, different electronics, etc... but i get what a mean. customs get gold, everything else doesnt

That guitar is gorgeous and zebra pickups don't look bad on it. great choice with the PG and custom shop bridge PG. while I was scrolling to this post I was going to suggest a slash set.

is it a chambered body? I hope Gibson stop that.

Nice guitar!

Current Les Paul Classics use 9-hole weight relief

I really like interesting non-figured woodgrain.

I'm a plain top guy at heart. Not that I don't love a righteous flame, but not all the flame all the time.

In fact, I only have 3 flame top guitars, and one with a subtle flame in a middle piece.

Play a Sabre sometime ..and you won't :bigthumb:

Relax, Francis. No one said anything negative about your shred sticks.

It’s just an inarguable fact that a Les Paul is a thing of glory and beauty. I hope the future holds that experience for you.

i didn't know kermit the frog was irish?:p

Looks beautiful! I like the zebra PUs in it.
Currently building teles in all the colors/woods i want.
If that is done, i will be doing some LPs. This is inspiring!

i heard you are not gonna tell us about your next purchase!?

Well I did'nt say anything negative about Ace's guitar either....on the contrary..

At 50 years old I'm at the age when grand-pa guitars start to look more appealing ....but I still don't want one. Yep, they can be eye-catching & they do sound awesome. It's when I strap them on and play them that's when I have a problem. ^^ Guitar's like that may have spoilt me...

There will not be a next purchase.

Allegedly...And the great sell off has begun.

I know you're more 80s than 70s, but have you played Emerald on it yet?

Great question! No. And I'm pretty 70's too. Remember - when I started playing, it wasn't the 80's yet! 70's things I have played on it:

Zepplin
Sweet
Steppenwolfe
KISS
REO
ZZ Top

Likely some other stuff too.

Two things I did was add a poker chip to the toggle, and I switched out Speed knobs for Gold top Hats.

Plays awesome. Needs just a very little setup tweaking for my tastes

It has Gibson 57's in it, but those will be departing in a month or so.

What is going in?

Neck - Zebra Pearly Gates
Bridge - Zebra Custom Shop Pearly Gates wound to 9.1-9.3k

My Les Pauls all have SuperD's and Distortions in them. Even my GEM has a Custom SP3 P-90. Well, my The Paul has T-Tops, but I'll lose those at some point too. This is my PAF Paul for playing everything.

I still need a strap, but it is going to be plain brown leather.

Never been a big green guitar guy but with Damon Johnson's (Brother Cane, Thin Lizzy and now Skynyrd) candy apple R7 and yours, I might just be convinced to change my mind. As for the strap, you might want to look at the Couch brown western, it looks great with my green Kauer Banshee.

I just got a strap today. Dark brown, Perri's worn Italian leather.
