NGD - This is What's Coming.....

Sweet! Love the color. Schecters don't seem to get the recognition they deserve.

Until this model and other Nick Johnston signature models, they were looked at as the "Metal player's guitar". This version makes them a lot more palatable for other genres.

What a guitar! I received it last Saturday. I'll post a good review when I get some time. But for a Strat-type HSS guitar, it's fantastic! Coming from decades of playing mostly Telecasters, it's a very nice change. I've owned several Strats over the years, but always either sold or traded them. This guitar has some girth to it. It's a little heavier than my other guitars. That doesn't bother me. The neck is phenomenal. Here are the neck specs:

Schecter Nouveau Tremolo with Music City Bridge Three String Tree String Retainer

The three-string tree string retainer is very cool. The neck has a good chuck to it; kind of like a D or fat C shape. I'm usually gravitating toward neck radii that are more vintage; but this one is very comfortable. Maybe because I'm used to my PRS 10" radius. The Schecter neck blows away my PRS neck though. One change I have made is I replaced the volume and tone knobs with aged white Strat knobs. I like the look better. I will replace the neck and middle pickup covers. The stock covers are kind of "dingy-looking". More review later.
