NGD - what should I name her? :D

:naughty: She's a beaut', ain't she?

ESP Eclipse in Aged Honey Burst. '59 in the neck, JB in the bridge.

The LTD vintage black EC1000 was a nice axe for what it was, but this is just on another level. I have to get it dialed in to my specs but dam sho' is nice!

Plus now I don't have to take crap from people for owning an LTD anymore. :D

UPDATE: Just FYI, this guitar is for sale because I need to throw some money at a car purchase I just made, and plus after I got this guitar I kinda stumbled into a PRS and I play that guitar more anyways.

She's pretty and has quite a nice voice, but she's gotta go. I ain't too upset, tho.

Gross, it's all worn. ;)

:D

I do like that ESP chose to not make it look like it's totally beat to hell - just slightly worn looking, like a comfy pair of nice jeans.

The thin finish just makes this thing resonate like crazy.

I gotta ask, how do you like the JB in that gorgeous slab of envy?

It's a tiny bit bright, I must admit but then again MOST of my gripes with the JB are solved by a Mahogany body. Plus I still have to set it up with my preferred strings and action, etc. I don't know what's in the control cavity but a cap change might be in order since I run my guitars with my tone on about 7 these days and only open it up occasionally when I need some bite.

I tried an Antiquity JB about a month ago and I did like it a lot more than a normal JB - smoother! If I can't dial it in with small tweaks to my amp or the guitar I'll go for the antiquity model and put the current cover on it to make the look consistent.

That looks awesome!

LTDs can be good but ESPs are on another level... they can be great!

I almost got me a good deal on an Eclipse last month. I was looking at them for some weeks, saw a pretty one come up with a good price, waited for the big paycheck and it was gone. That happens when they're priced right. I don't complain though, I still got something very nice.
