NGD (with pics) : Let's telebrate like it's 1952!

Hey guys,

So I was just thinking the other day that there was a gap in my lineup and I figured I’d do something about it. I’d been looking for a good telecaster for a while now, but I’d never found something that I clicked with, since I was always trying to find something that spoke to me within a very limited price range (I wasn’t ready to invest much on a tele). I decided Friday to just play every telecaster in my city, regardless of price. I played everything from Squier classic vibe teles to custom shop fender models. At the end of it all, I found me a winner!

Here she is, in all her glory : american vintage 1952 reissue telecaster. Sexy 1 piece ash body, 1 piece maple neck and all the typical features you’d expect to find on such a beast. I really dig the brass saddles and the vintage style bridge. Thanks to those who provided advice in my other thread, specially those who took the time to write to me via PM.

Here are a few pictures ; I’ll report back after I get to test her out in a gigging situation, or at least a few jams. Cheers.

I'll have to find a new case for her, because this sucker just screams ''steal me!''.

So you went and did it! Very nice! Now you just need to carve contours into it like Jeff Beck did to his

Excellent choice. I love the new American Vintage series. You may have to get used to the vintage frets and radius, but once you do, it makes the rest of your guitars even easier to play.

Your stable of guitars is impressive. Every one of them a solid keeper.

Thanks guys.

JEC, I don't think I'll be taking a knife to her anytime soon.

GJ, that stable is the result of so much flipping it's ridiculous. For the first time in a while though, I feel like I've got my corners covered, and that I'm not missing anything major.

The Fender Esquire owned successively by John Maus, Jeff Beck and Seymour Duncan was chamfered before JB purchased it.

Well in that case, I'll take a router to the back of it immediately! There is little time to waste!

Very nice. My bandmate plays one almost exclusively (although his is a lefty). They sound great especially through a bassman.
