I kind of think of it as a Firebird/Jazzmaster cross. Excellent top fret access rather unsurprisingly, and good balance on a strap. It sits a little differently to what I'm used to, but then that's just an excuse to play it lots so I can get used to it! ;)

I'll be plugging in to my V-Amp 2 tonight, and blasting it through my JTM45 sometime next week.

They're designed by Trev Wilkinson. I have a Blue Label Esprit 5, which is Korean-built. Their Green Label line are built in the UK.

Hey Stevie, you are going to have to get some seriously sharp hats to "outcool" that beauty!!!!! I can't recall ever seeing that shape but it looks so cool.... congrats on finally getting your bucker git sorted out. I hope you enjoy it mate, it's been a long time coming.

What are the stock pickups like? Are you interested in replacing them?

I'm going to give the stock pickups a blast first and see how I get on. The whole world of humbuckers is a new thing for me! :D

It's a Blue Label, and it's incredibly well put together and definitely a whole lot of guitar for the money.

Nice one mate! love it, Just researched a bit more myself into Fret King guitars and I am glad you put this NGD up cause thanks to you I have found my next wanted guitar :) I want that Three P90 one lol

I played it briefly through my V-Amp2 last night. It certainly has a lot more mids and grunt than my Legacy and Tele! :D

The pickups are vintage voiced and so coped better with low and medium gain settings. It also sounds great with the volume on 7 and just turn it up to 10 for that bit extra. The lower notes sounded a little bit indistinct with the vol on 10 especially as the gain was increased, but sounded much better with the vol backed off a little. Bearing in mind this was only through a modeller and at low volumes so that I didn't upset the neighbours! I'll give these pickups a blast for a little while before I make any desicions, and I need to check what pots and switch are in it too.

It felt odd having those fatter tones coming from my fingers, but was a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to giving it a good workout through my JTM45 next week!

Glad you're gelling with that beast of a guitar Stevie. If those pick ups don't work and you change them, trust me when I say for the bridge the Brobucker is absolutely phenominal in mahogany ... they take the natural warmth and add some presence and snap.... you won't ever want to change it. I know they are pricey but you won't regret it.

:D I'm gonna give myself a bit of time before I dive into a pickup change, but it wouldn't be a bad place to put a Brobucker I'm sure!
