Well, technically Tuesday was my NGD, but I was able to use it at rehearsal last night to determine if the guitar sucked or not. It did not suck.
2012 American Standard strat in Charcoal Frost. The stock Fat 50's pickups are pretty nice! There's a slight volume dip on the B string from the staggered poles, but otherwise they sound great. If I ever run across a flat-pole set that sounds similar I might consider swapping them out, but these pickups do everything I want a strat to do. I was even using the bridge pickup last night and it didn't poke a hole in my eardrums through my IEMs, so that's pretty remarkable in my book.
