A "blocked" tremolo is pretty stable too. I did this on my old Johnson Strat, and I swear, it sounds better. Might be placebo affect.

Awesome! Congrats! I like the EMG HZ pickups.

I have the trems blocked on my RG and Charvel. It makes a bit of a difference.

I know, I'm necroing my own thread, but over the while I owned this guitar I tried to do some research on it, to find out what it actually is. I always thought its a "GRGR121EX" (http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/GRGR121EX) but the site says it only got built from 2009-2011. Does anyone know what model my guitar actually is? It is made in 2013, as the serial number suggests. thanks all!
