NHD - Just a basic Fender head

I picked up this SS Fender Bassman for $129. I figured it should be fine for basement jamming with my Ampeg 4x12 bass cab. Seeing it is a Bassman I am obviously going to give it a run with the guitar through a guitar cab. If I can get a decent guitar tone with it that is a bonus.

Banged on it for 20 minutes through the 1x15 cab in my office. First impressions are it is pretty cool. The gain, of course, is not "guitar" gain but if you push it hard and dig into your chords there is a cool early Brittish invasion break up. Gonna take it downstair later this afternoon and throw a dirt pedal in front of is because hey isn't that what we as guitar players do.

Super clean almost too clean. I kinda feel like it pulled all of the character out of the tone. I was playing it with the Parker which doesn't have very hot pickups. I am thinking my Ibanez with the Dimebucker might push the preamp a bit more.

I haven't plugged any stomps into it yet but I am thinking with the right chorus with the limiter might make the tone bloom. I am hoping that might push it close to my JC120.

All in all for $129 so far it is a fun amp to play around with.
